Master Beef Producer

Master Beef Producer is a program that allows beef cattle producers to gain classroom and hands on knowledge that may benefit the productivity and profitability of their cattle operations.

Master Meat Goat Producer

This program is designed to improve the knowledge of meat goat producers. The demand for goat meat exceeds the domestic supply and many producers with small acreages are captializing on raising goats. This program goes over many aspects of goat production including reproduction, marketing, nutrition, facilities, etc. This program is also benefical for sheep producers.
The Marion Meat Goat Producer Program will be on November 2, 7, 9, and 16. There is a $150 fee, however, there is a $100 scholarship for completing a Premise ID form. This reduces the cost of the program to $50. Participants will receive a nice book on goat and sheep production in addition to the nice lineup of speakers. In addition, participants will be eligible for 50% cost share opportunities for equipment, hay barn, etc. through the TN Ag Enhancement Program.
